I think I may know the answer to this question, but I value all of your insights.
I am trying to figure out if Adderall is actually causing my anger and irritability (more so when it wears off) or do meds that effect serotonin cause irritability and anger (small dose Seroquel - which has always made me angry and Pristiq maybe?)
My old doc said that the reason Seroquel made me irritable was probably due to its effects on serotonin (I've never heard this before)?
But, I also know I get a lot of energy (work out, get a lot of things done) when I take adderall.
I am wondering if I am just getting high off the adderall.

I think it's the Adderall that is causing the outbursts of anger. I was like that on Ritalin. How much do you take and when do you take it? Are you using the XR form? Do these outburst occur in the evening most of the time or do they occur at any time of day?

What dose of Seroquel are you taking? Have you tried a higher dose?

It could very well be the stimulant. When I took Adderall I would be very pushy and get short with people. I would talk over them and try and shut them up. Sometimes i would have to leave the room b/c someone was annoying me so bad. Just at 5 or 10mg.

I usually take 10mg of plain ol' Adderall in the morning and yes, I do get irritable in the late afternoon / evening. So, maybe, its the Adderall wearing off. Maybe I should split up my dose (1/2 in morning, 1/2 around lunch).

I was taking 50mg of Seroquel at night for sleep. It works like a charm, best sleep ever. But the next morning I'm a bear (mean, irritable, etc.)
Then higher doses of Seroquel for me (100mg +) and it doesn't help with sleep for me.

I think FOR SURE you should split you dose! Have you ever tried Adderall XR? It might solve your problems.
