I'm thinking about starting up Emsam (6mg) for depression. Would I be able to augment it with either buspar, provigil or Dexedrine without incident? I know its contraindicated, but I thought I've seen quite a few posts where people mix and match it.

Buspar augmentation would be fine (as far as I can see).
Provigil and dexedrine are probably testable with caution. There could definately be a potentiating effect with anything stimulating.
Both provigil and dexedrine have inhibitory effects on the dopamine transporter. Taking this with emsam would block two metabolic pathways for dopamine, and potentially result in overstimulation.

It's certainly possible. You'd have to try them with care, but I've used both of them at different times.

I combine Parnate with Adderall XR. Alhough I just started the Adderall I have done it in the past and it worked well.

It has its own risks, but you may also consider Cytomel (T3; thyroid med), just now available as a generic (liothyronine) in the US within the past year or so. It is usually stimulating.
This is the end of the thread.
