Hi there;
I'm just wondering if anyone has an update on Vilazodone.
I know it has completed two good phase III trials.
Has an NDA been made for the FDA yet? If so, how long before it could be marketed?
Many thanks,
addinbc

I have the same question. From what I've read, this looks to be a very promising drug. Apparently very high efficacy (meets or exceeds SNRIS), without the typically SSRI side effects, most notable the weight gain and sexual dysfunction.

Hi there;
The NDA for Vilazodone has been accepted! There is also a fair bit of info out there indicating that in fact there is 5-ht1a agonism in vivo. Check out this site:

Anyone know how long it usually takes for a drug to be approved following acceptance of an NDA (New Drug Application) if it is approved??
Thanks!
