This is very similar to what I experienced after stopping Effexor. I found that if I either moved my eyes or turned my head or body with my eyes open I'd have one of these "brain shivers" experiences. I found I could work around this by wearing pinhole glasses until the withdrawal symptoms finally went away.

Hello Solanaphobe!
Welcome to Psycho-Babble!
I'm also curious as to what brain zaps and shivers are.
