I believe the psychedelics do have application in depression. I think there is research do support the notion that they can turn down overactive cingulate activity, in favor of parietal function. Cingulate activity promotes rumination and dark moods whilest the parietal lobes help seel the whole picture.

Might be good for OCD?

People are unlikely to be trapped in front of the milk at Woolworths trying to work out which brand to buy for price, nutritional value etc while under this treatment.

Much more likely to see the big picture and leave the shop, basically.

My one time experience with marijuana wasn't good. Felt like I was flying an airplane on the way home driving a car and stayed with me a full 24 hours I could care less what happened no anxiety as I taught 3 classes during that day in aerobic dance until half way through the night time one I crashed Hard. Some laced? Phillipa

sorry to interrupt and get off-topic, but let me please just say this..
to begin with, there is basically no laced marijuana, unless you did it yourself.. everything you could lace it with is much more costly than marijuana itself, it just doesn't make any sense whatsoever..
also, smoking first time in a situation where you have to be physically active and, especially, ride a car is, well, not a good idea at all.. wouldn't that be common sense?

if one doesn't respect a substance, of course the experience will go wrong..
and if one treats a substance with respect, it can have incredible effects.. that applies to everything, regular ADs, stimulants, buprenorphine, hallucinogens..

more on-topic:
it surprises me so much that, although the official public opinion in the states is so "rather conservative" in terms of drugs, it's over at you guys that these kind of studies are done.. same with the buprenorphine in depression.. I don't understand your country :) but I am sure glad someone is picking this up again..

This story popped up on my news reader. A pretty shallow article but nice to see the site get a mention!
