Well, I'm not doing very well, to say the least. The SSRI's don't work any more, the three TCA's I've tried before had really bad side effects, but in spite of that I'm going to be giving clomipramine a trial as I'm that desperate. Right now I'm pretty sedated on clonazapam, haven't gotten out of my pj's all day and only managed to choke an apple down.
I'm in contact with my pdoc daily..we both know I'm in pretty bad shape.
Wish me luck fellow babblers..here's hoping I can somehow get dressed and try to leave my house. Anything past my door scares the crap out of me and the inside's not much better.
This sucks..

I'm sorry that things are so difficult for you right now. Of the TCAs, clomipramine has the reputation for being the most efficacious, but one of the most difficult to tolerate. I hope the side effects aren't too bad.
Good luck.

Thanks for your words of support. I took my first 50 mg tablet last night. I have to say I feel a bit strange today, can't quite put my finger on it. Very sedated. I'm wondering if the med made my zopiclone and clonazapam work overtime.
I slept for over to 10 hours, which may seem excessive, but the first thing I noticed when I got up was my lack of back pain. I can't tell you how wonderful that feels. I keep getting up and walking around and no pain..even the fibro pain is better.
I've decided for the first time in years that I'm not going to research the s*%t of of this med. If it continues to help the chronic pain conditions I have, then wow.
My pdoc is taking this on a week by week basis, to see if I can tolerate any side effects that pop up, and I'm sure there will be..but here's hoping I can work through them.
Thanks again for your support.

Why not look into Vagal Nerve Stimulation or Deep Brain Stimulation?
