Difference between ALPRAZOLAM vs. CLONAZEPAM?

Posted by mike0388 on March 25, 2010, at 17:30:25

Can someone explain to me the difference between these two medications, I'm currently taking Xanax 1-2 MG a day and it just makes me lethargic.

What is the difference between Xanax(Alprazolam) vs. Klonopin(Clonazepam)?

In two phrases: Kickin time and Halflife time... Regular Xanax comes on fast and burns out fast. Klonopin takes a bit longer to kick in and lasts longer.

There are other differences reported that tend to be individual in nature. I have used both and the only differences I noted was as above. Klonopin works better for me in general.

Yes klonopin lasts longer, stronger than valium, and xanax is shorter acting but said to have a mild antidepressant mode. Klonopin depressed. Me. Phillipa

klonopin makes you depressed...serious

but...it may be good because it doesnt do that with everyone, it's more of a antimanic..medication, prevent's mania.

Xanax can induce euphoria...[a high]
