Never made me gain an ounce and I gain weight on psych meds just by looking at them.

Been on it for most of the past 3 years and my weight hasn't changed.
Pretty certain for most people it's weight neutral.

For me I think it's better than standard ADs. No sexual side effects, no weight gain, and thankfully it wards off deep depression.
I spent two years on only Lamictal and Seroquel. Prior to that combo I had a severe manic episode (thinking I was god/causing scenes in public places type manic) and lost a decent job. Once I got stable my former pDoc and I weaned off everything and switched to just lamictal and seroquel (for sleep). My pdoc at the time was _very_ conservative as far as meds he'd use.
I feel lamictal helped a lot during the aftermath. I was content - never super-low. Eventually last year I switched docs and we started augmenting to try to get me more motivated/optimistic about my future. At 32 I haven't found a way to have a "real" life due to depression, mania, and substance abuse....
I'm rambling but the bottom line is I have little bad to say about Lamictal :)

I definitely get the "munchies" during the hour when Seroquel is kicking in but it doesn't seem (at least for me) to be a med that puts weight on regardless of how much you eat.
