I have to say that I like my current pdoc. He is much less controlling than my previous doctors, he doesn't seem threatened by a well-informed patient, I haven't had to wait long to get appointments, and his rates are fairly reasonable (and his office is close by!). If you live in the San Diego area and you need a referral, you can babblemail me. I'm not going to post his name, because I don't want his schedule to fill up!

I also know a pharmacy with good service, although I have been getting my meds at Costco since I started having to pay out of pocket.

That's great. Maybe other babblers could also post if they like their p-docs and are willing to share their names. (I'd share if I found one I like, but alas, I haven't.)

No. Mine may not be the best one in San Diego. I found him in the phone book. But, he doesn't judge me for changing my own meds, and he has given me every med I have asked for so far.

I really like my pdoc. She's nice, very good about returning calls. And, up until all of this stuff with Parnate, she's always let my try the drugs I wanted. Now I just wish she would be experimental with the Parnate combos. If anyone knows anyone in KS or surrounding states that would experiment with Parnate combos (esp. w/ Wellbutrin or Nortriptyline), please let me know. Those of you whose doctors will prescribe Wellbutrin with Parnate, do you think your docs would let me come for a yearly consult or something and then prescribe the Wellbutrin for me?

My friends doc doesn't mind him switching prior either. So not the z one? Guess they have good pdocs there. Phillipa

You could try calling around to different doctors and asking them directly about how they feel about mixing drugs with Parnate. Stephen Stahl has written that that combination should only be attempted "by experts." And that means experts among doctors.
You could also try looking for a doctor that is affiliated with a local medical school. Doctors in academia might be more likely to be the "experts."
