I just wanted to thank everyone for their support the last few months... my new doctor is awesome, had no problem raising my Parnate dosage to 60 (although a little slower than I would like - if I get too depressed, I don't feel odd calling him to ask that the titration go up faster.)
He was one of those who was *glad* I know about my condition and the medicines, not offended or irritated... People with nasty egos should not go into psychiatry. :-)
He put me back on Neurontin, too, which the previous doctor said Medi-Cal (CA Medicaid) wouldn't pay for--untrue. It's not in their psychiatric formulary but like anything else can be prescribed off-label.
My advice is to all is that if your doctor is not helping you, raise hell until you get one who does.
Currently on:Parnate 40mg for 2 days then 50 mg for 2 days then 60 mg.
Lamictal 50mg for one week then up to 100mg.
Neurontin 300mg. 3x/day then up to 600mg 3x/day in one week.
Ativan 1mg up to twice a day as needed.

Now that is news I like to hear! Is he willing to go higher than the 60 mg if necessary? I hope so.
