PLEASE read bipolar 2

i've been on parnate 30mg for about 2 months now, the first month broke the depression, but made me hypomanic. the doc added lithium, 450mg, which slowed down the hypomania-but i've been yo-yoing up and down all month and i feel as if i'm going into a depression now. what is my doctor likely to do about this? do you suppose he will up the lithium or take away the parnate. the parnate seems to make me feel like crap now anyway, its not helping with the depression anymore and it makes me so tired during the day i cannot function, but then at night i've had trouble falling asleep. i'm also afraid that if he takes out the parnate i'll fall into a deeper depression. does anyone have any experience with such a situation, or have bipolar 2?

The only one who knows what your doctor will do is your doctor. Have you communicated your distress to him? It sounds as if you need an appointment as soon as possible to discuss options. Good luck. Hope you feel better.

If you meds are not working, the doctor should try to change them for you. He or she should not keep you on stuff that is not working.
