I am tollerating this med suprisingly well (at 50mg). It does have side effects but they're not deal breakers (extreme akathesia) etc.
My anxiety is greatly reduced and feelings of worthlessness are gone. I am having bouts of extreme sadness which are new to me. I am wondering if it is a part of the healing process. I feel sad, but much more human at the same time.
Sleep is no longer an issue.
Take care,
Linkadge

My depression usually gets much worse during the first two weeks when I try ADs.

Link, I'm so glad to hear that you are responding well. Do you expect the akathesia to subside?

I feel sad, but much more human at the same time.Sometimes when I experience 'sadness', I feel more open in therapy. That's just me. Protracted sadness is another thing.

Sorry, I should have been more overt. I am not experiencing akathesia (as I have on SSRI's).

How's amitriptyline's robust H1-antagonism hitting on you, Link?

Eh, I seem to be ok with it. For some reason it doesn't leave me as wiped as remeron. A bit of coffee in the morning seems to help a little.
Note: I had bad insomnia before starting so, just getting sleep leaves me with much more energy than I had prior.
