OK, so I am preparing to go to my doctor's appointment.. I have read various things on the web about an Effexor XR + Remeron combo ... has anyone tried this?
Does the anorectic effect of Effexor (excellent as Nardil made me gain 60 pounds) even out the weight gain side effect of Remeron? Does it help with anxiety?
Also am going to bring up restoring my Xanax, maybe Neurontin or Lyrica as an add-on (have had success with Neurontin before).
thx

I am taking pristiq, the "new effexor" and remeron. I can't be sure that the remeron is aiding the AD effects of the pristiq but when I added the pristiq to the mix my depression got better. I never had any weight gain on remeron or any AD effect either. I could not tolerate effexor. It made me agitated. The pristiq does not.
Hope this helps.
