Hi,
I'm trying provigil, 100 twice a day and cutting dexedrine from 45 to 10-15mg. per day.
I can't feel the provigil. Yes, I'm getting over the flu and feel so weak. And I'm writing in part because I feel miserable. Fatigue is part of my symptomology.
Is there a dose of provigil folks here use?
Thanks!

If you've had the flu wait til your body is fully recovered. Energy may return hopefully. Seems most take 1-200mg. Phillipa

Provigil always felt like placebo to me..... However, I have reconsidered taking it now that I am so wired up- may be easier on me than adderall. I remember taking 200 mg 1 time a day....

I had such high hopes for provigil. It seems to help most people. Unfortunately, I didn't get an effect.

It doesn't feel speedy like dexedrine, at least for me at 200mg. It made me more alert and helped keep my SSRI from pooping out, I believe.
I would take 100mg daily just for the antidepressant augmentation. I'd take 200-400mg daily if I needed to stay awake.

I've taken up to 600 mg a day. That's high, I think 200 mg is more normal. It's not like snorting a line of crank or anything but you WILL be able to concentrate. Don't take it past noon or plan on watching the late late show.

Thanks for all your responses. I am starting to 'feel' the provigil at work, and when I kick this nasty flu, I think it will be enough to meet my needs.
I'm a'thinkin' about having the spit test for my adrenals--w/ my hashimoto's thyroid issue not resolving, I think there could be something under the thyroid, under this cr*ppy depression's fatigue that AD's (or stims) won't adequately address alone.
I'm still feeling miserable, but it's not quite the pity-party I was having a few days ago when I last posted.
Thanks for being here!

provigil is not a stimulant
it enhances wakefullness
and for some it has AD effects

I think it may help with my ADD. Certainly doesn't feel like a stimulant like dexadrine! Though some report getting 'wired' on it. (I have not.)
