My pdoc added Lamictal to my cocktail. The titration schedule is very involved--you have to take small doses both AM and PM.
I don't have much success with taking meds at night. I don't remember, am too anxious, have taken a Xanax and fallen asleep, etc.
How important is it to take 25 mg AM and PM, rather than 50 mg in the morning? I did it this morning and it didn't give me a rash.

I did take lamictal for a while but it was once a day and titration came in separted packages for dosing. Doesn't it come this way anymore? Some start with 12.5 a day for two weeks, I started on 25mg a day in the am for two weeks then 50mg for two weeks then it jumps up again. Why twice a day and not once a day? And the lower the starting dose the less chance for the rash. I had to stop as had a rare side effect which was so much splitting saliva flowed constantly. Phillipa

I've been on 200mg for many years. Take all of it in the morning with effexor.

Been sleeping with minimal to no meds the last few nights. Could this be the med that finally fixes my sleep? But I'm really tired during the day, too.
