Zoloft causing chronic acid reflux/digestion prob?

Posted by Jackster on April 26, 2009, at 21:34:12

Has anyone had chronic acid reflux/indigestion on Zoloft? I've had it for about 9 months now. At first I thought it was caused by switching from Prozac to Zoloft, then by me tapering off clonazepam. I've been off clonazepam over a month now, and I still am getting v bad reflux, to the point where I've been put on Losec. I'm starting to wonder if Zoloft is the culprit. Has anyone else had this experience?

Thanks
Jax

How much klonopin were you taking and how long and how fast the taper. Would bet on no klonopin. Do you still have anxiety? Love Phillipa

Hi Phillipa

I was on 1mg of klonopin and I tapered off it for 5 months. So it was a pretty slow taper.

Did you see a regular doc? Maybe you should? Taking any antacids for it? Love Phillipa

No. If anything I eat even less because of the discomfort it brings on. I've been losing weight.
