Zacopride is a potent antagonist at the 5HT3 receptor and an agonist at the 5HT4 receptor. It has anxiolytic and nootropic effects in animal models, with the (R) enantiomer being the more active form. It also has antiemetic and pro-respiratory effects, both reducing sleep apnoea and reversing opioid-induced respiratory depression in animal studies.
I think this might be a good drug for me.. I have hypoxia and sleep apnea. It also might help with my anxiety and my memory problems. It's weird that it's not really used in psychiatry. It's mainly used, I think, to stop vomiting.

This reminds me that there was an opiate preparation that was a mixture of morphine and tacrine for just this reason.

??Okay, I called the pharmacist to see if I could find out any thing else about this drug. HE told me he could find anything about it, so it's not currently on the market. Hopefully it will be in future. I went fda.gov and found several patents for it. It really sucks because it would resolve several problems for me in one drug.
