I recently signed up for Walgreens' $4/ week generic plan since it was the only pharmacy that included sertraline in its discounted meds. I had been getting the Mylan generic from Kmart and was happy with it. I am really in doubt about these new meds from Walgreens as, shall I say, the "fog" seems to have returned. I've been on them for three weeks now. FYI - I've taken Zoloft or its generic at varying doses for 15 years and am attuned to how it affects me. Has anyone else had a negative experience with these? My other question stems from the fact that these are Greenstone brand (the generic division of Pfeizer): why would a company want to make a cheaper version of their own product?

Didn't know Greenstone made generic zoloft but it makes xanax and it's the real deal as Phizer is manufacturer of xanax and others don't work for me. Have to special order greenstone. So walgreens has it do they also have xanax greenstone do you know? Thanks Phillipa

Hi, Sanguine~
Is this an exclusive Walgreen's line of drugs?
About the $4 program, is it per week or per month?
When I get generics filled in 3-month supplies (max allowed) from CostCo, it often turns out to be cheaper than $4/month. Guess it depends on the drug. It's really cheap when I get the big doses (ex: 200mg vs. 100mg) in 3mo supplies & cut them up. -easier w/ some drugs than others.I thought generics were supposed to be equivalent. I have noticed that tablets seem to work better for me than capsules & that many of my generics end up being capsules.
My GP won't prescribe generic birth-control (unless using for other conditions), saying the doses are not as well regulated in generics. It seems like drug companies would be risking liability if they didn't closely regulate doses. hmm..I have had changes in how I respond to drugs & wondered if I'd gotten a bad batch. Sometimes Welbutrin would have a terrible odor & other times not. The pharmacist told me it's not significant.

No, strangely they don't. I get that filled at Target but it is from Sandoz.

Uh, whoops, Walgreens claims its prescription savings plan is $1 a week; mine ended up being more because I got a new script that was only 30 days since it is a new doctor. But still, WAY better than I was paying at Kmart. No, Greenstone isn't Walgreens only, but I don't know who else carries it.

I'm pretty sure I was on that for several months. It seemed to be very effective for me.

Greenstone xanax is the real deal a pharmacist clued me into that a long time ago. Makes a huge diffrence to get the namebrand under generic. Generics vary up to 20% of the namebrand product. CVS won't order it Greenstone xanax found a new pharmacist small that wants to increase his business he will order all the best namebrand generics for me and he charges less than CVS generics. By half price. A month of Greenstonx xanax a mere $10 Phillipa

Thanks for all the info. I've changed the time of day I'm taking it and it seems to be making a difference.
