It's the weirdest thing, about 4-6 hours after my first dose of Cymbalta I had an overwhelming urge for cigarettes that I couldn't control. So I've been smoking again for the past week or so, I hadn't had a smoke in like 5 years and had no desire to for almost that long. Has anybody else experienced this on Cymbalta, or maybe other meds?
Thanks
Rick

I just saw this http://www.crazymeds.org/cymbaltaSideEffects.html. Was my brain was rejecting this drug, is that possible? I mean it was an overwhelming desire to smoke and I haven't wanted a cigarette for years now. Maybe I really am crazy.

I had this feeling too and i'm not even really a smoker! I smoke every once in a while when i drink and i smoked during the day a little bit when i was in school and studying a lot. The weirdest thing was that I would crave cigarettes and then i would have this panicky feeling afterwards, and my chest would feel like something was pushing on it. I called it the devil drug, because it would make me crave a cig and then punish me for it.
I took cymbalta for fibromyalgia, but then had to stop because it gave me panic attacks. It was very strange...
