I'm on 75 mg of Nardil and I'm on a weight training program that requires green tea and caffeine supplements but I don't know if it is safe to take them. Is there a certain amount of caffeine in mg that is acceptable to take while on an MAOI?
Thank you!

I know the occasional cup of coffee with Nardil is ok, but with all the BP issues I would def talk to your PDoc about this especially as your talking about ingesting probably a lot of caffiene just before a work-out. Could be dangerous IMHO. Do you carry antidote with you? May want to if you work out regularly. They can take your BP there assuming you go to the gym.
Good Luck!

Both are ok, but i'd just be carful at first. I would stick to caffiene from real drinks not pills as i think this slows the release a big being bound to some of the alkaloids in tea/coffee.
Also the green tea is a comt inhibitor, too much and you could have a hypertensive crisis. I take a 400mg catechin pill 3x a day but i'd go slow at first to see how it affecfts you, and have an antidote around when you first start.
