SSRIs increase plasma serotonin, Tianeptine decreases plasma serotonin. Opposite action. Does this mean if you respond to SSRIs, that you will not respond to Tianeptine, or even that it makes things worse?
My own experience is that I respond to SSRIs (awful side effects), but am yet to respond to Tianeptine. Ignoring side effects, has anyone out there experienced a significant antidepressant benefit on both a SSRI and Tianeptine (individually).
