Hello All,
First and foremost, I have a very flexible PDOC who is very willing to work with me... but I need some additional perspective to bring to him.
A little background.
I was on Zoloft (various doses), Topamax and Valium for years.
I moved from 37.5 MG s of Zoloft (small dose I know, but at any doseon that drug, I gain weight as if I'm takign the maximum dose) to 37.5 of effexor immediate release and dropped the topamax. Then I moved to the XR Effexor from immediate release.
Well, I haven't been feeling well the past week! Anxiety! Blah.
Hre's my question... Am I going to fast... where should I start? Do I restart the Topamax, or increase the Effexor? Doc has given me permission to go up to 50 MGS of the immediate release (I don't want to hit 75 MGS- too much at this point). he's also given me permission to restart the Topamax. I started 25MS of the Topamax if I want... but really don't think that's the answer. It's generalized anxiety that is my problem (I'm not bipolar and I used the Topamax for anxiety control, headaches, and sleep assistance).
Should I back off the Topamax and try increasing the effexor first???
I figure I've only taken the Topamax one day, so easy to stop.... Any suggestions???

How long have ago did you switch from Zoloft to Effexor?
