Has anyone taken Deplin alone without depression meds for a mood booster?. I just started taking it 5 days ago.

Hi any response as took it with a low dose of an ad and valium. Only two weeks though. Would be wonderful if didn't need an ad. Phillipa

I also started Deplin 5 days ago. I too am taking it by itself.
My doc wanted me to start both Deplin and Cymbalta together, but I prefer to start meds one at a time, and happened to choose Deplin to start with. I got an immediate positive response - in fact I feel better than I have in many years. I have tried many different meds and this is by far the best response I've ever gotten. I plan on going with just the Deplin to see how long it continues to work.

Deplin is just a "medical food"
and even says so on the sample box I have. If you are having a response on it alone, that's amazing because it's suppose to be benign without taking it with an antidepressant.> > Has anyone taken Deplin alone without depression meds for a mood booster?. I just started taking it 5 days ago.

I still am feeling great - better than I have in years. I'm still just taking the Deplin, not in combination with anything else. Of course I realize that this is usually used with another medication, but I'm also a firm believer in results. It works and I'm sticking with it. I wouldn't be shocked if this stops working for me at some point, but for now I'm enjoying actually living my life.

I am also feeling better after two weeks of taking Deplin on its own. It's been a huge mood booster for me.
