Tianeptine/Selegiline Questions

Posted by PoolGuy on July 31, 2008, at 22:25:48

Hello,
I am planning on doing some trials with those two drugs and I have some questions about it.

First Tianeptine, This seems like a very interesting drug and I currently have some on my possession but not enough to make a trial. I've heard that you can sometimes feel something just from 1 dose for an hour or 2 so I took 1 pill at 2 occasions to see.
In my experience, I did feel something from it for something like a little less than 2 hour. It was a bit anxiolytic and I was feeling kinda happy. The most noticable effect is that it is much easier for me to smile. I have social phobia and those 2 times I was in public and it did help. It is much easier to socialize when you can smile you know. Usually there is almost no expression on my face and I have a hard time to smile.

Anyway, here are my questions about tianeptine. I know that It takes about 2 weeks to work full time so I guess you would feel the effect all the time. But when you are at that point, are the effects the same thing like when you just take a pill and feel good for an hour or two? Also is there anyone that has been on tianeptine for a long time? I would like to know about its long term efficacy.

Now about selegiline, I am planning to use it combined with dlpa as many here did the same. Now this may sound like a silly question, Can someone tell me how does selegiline can compare to nicotine like smoking cigarettes. I know that nicotine is a MAOI type B just like selegiline. Is there any comparaison between the two drugs? Also can it change something if I smoke while on selegiline? I am also considering combining selegiline with tianeptine. Is this a good idea?
Does anyone else did it?

Thanks for your time,
Maxime

I believe that smokes inhibit MaoA, but this isn't nicotine...its something else in tobacco. But both nic and seleg. are DAergic...i find nicotine more cerebral, mostly just nootropic effects, clear thinking. selegiline affects emotions and how perceive things.
