Cymbalta has helped a lot so far with my mood. But I feel I am not functioning as well as I should be, a level that I am used to before depression. I think I have been on it for 4 weeks but I have heard to wait 2 months sometimes for the full effects. Anyone with experiences?

Happyflower that's great it's working for you but four weeks probably isn't enough. I gave it three months and for me it didn't work. Do you feel better than on the prozac which I think you said worked for you before? Love Phillipa

No experiences but when debating with my pdoc the virtues of this med or switching to another one, she said, "Well, if we switched to Cymbalta it would take months to get to the dosage that would make an effect." I know with Effexor I had to be on it a full two months to get the effect, so maybe stick with it?
It's soooo frustrating to have to wait for meds to kick in. I want an insta-med!
