Had my 4 wisdom teeth extracted 4 days ago. Everything went well until recently. I'm now in severe pain that ibuprofen and acetamenophin aren't covering. They don't last long enough.(Dry socket, I suppose).
I'm going to the dental urgent care at a major dental school ASAP, and I know they will ask what I **can** take.
I had morphine before, but I doubt if they will want to use it.
Anything else I can take?
PS -I've heard some people do well with clove oil applied directly to the tooth socket. Has that helped anyone?
If I don't get back to this post -- thanks in advance!

Disregard. Student dentist packed the sockets with some material that tasted like cloves, and the horrific pain went away fast. Ibuprofen and Tylenol should suffice from now on.
Thank God.

I used Tylenol with codeine on Parnate after surgery and after a tooth extraction.
This is the end of the thread.
