I have been suffering from anxiety for over a year and have been on a lot of medications with only Valium being of some help, my worst symptom is ongoing nausea which most of the meds have made worse, i was wondering has anybody used Gabapentin for anxiety and if it had worked and if there were any side effects.
My Dr does not think it will help and so far has not given me a script for it.

It worked well for me, and I was able to adjust the dose up and down as needed. It did cause some muscle weakness in my legs (or at least the sensation of weakness) and may have caused my WBC count to drop, so we stopped it. But a low dose took the edge off when my nerves were really raw. It's short acting, and if it's going to help you, you will know quickly.

I don't know if it would help you or not. I have used it for chronic pain so I could sleep at night. It does tend to be sedating. It is also used as a seizure med, but it is not one of the better ones for seizures.
I am curious as to why you would want to try Neurontin for anxiety.

Yes, I tried it. No, it didn't help, although I personally had no side effects.
