Hello,
I have been on Elavil and Buspar, but I'm not happy with this medication.
I have tried Remeron and Buspar, but that cocktail wasn't right for me.
Now I'm going to see a new doc next week.
I have lots of ideas about drugs which I want to discuss with him.I don't want to give up on Remeron, but I shall need another drug as a complement.
I would appreciate comments from anyone familiar with the Remeron/Wellbutrin combo. My big problem is sleep.
Seroquel or Trazodone might be options for me.Anybody on Seroquel/Buspar, Seroquel/Wellbutrin, Trazodone/Buspar or Trazodone/Wellbutrin?
Keep smiling,
X-rayP.S. I have been diagnosed with a schizoid personality disorder and an avoidant personality disorder.

I'd probably go with a Remeron/Seroquel combo before Remeron/Wellbutrin. Wellbutrin will not help with sleep, I don't think, if that's your primary issue. And an atypical AP like Seroquel I think does well with Schizoid tendencies.
I was once diagnosed as Schizoid Personality by one psych, but another said there's no way I have that disorder. Go figure.

I take Wellbutrin (SR 600mg) and Remeron (60mg) and unfortunately, it is not helping my depression (even with 120mg of Cymbalta) but it does have one really really really great side-effect. All I will say about it are these three magic words:
MALE MULTIPLE ORGASMS!!!
There's no SSRI that can do that!
Oh, be sure you try out Remeron at a low dose (15mg). When I took it at that dosage, it knocked me out like a light. As my Dr. increased the dosage, it became less and less sedating. I found the same to be true with Seroquel (25mg would put me down but 800mg didn't make me sleepy at all). Apparently that is the case for most people with these drugs.
Good luck!

Hello BGB,
Thanks for your contribution!
I have tried Remeron for six months, but I returned to Elavil.
I managed to get by on Remeron and Buspar, but there was something missing in the medication.
Perhaps Remeron + Wellbutrin + Buspar is a better cocktail.
Best of Luck,
X-ray
