Am I a freak? I love going to the pharmacy to pick up new medications. I love having little bottles of shiny pills with their promises of a better life dose by dose.
Optimism tinged by anxious anticipation.
Once upon a time I was scared sh*tless when starting a new med. I'm still scared. terrified. about discontinuing a med.

Li what a great attitude and you have had positive results from your meds may these meds be a positive experience for you too. Wish I were the same as you as I'm the opposite. Good luck. Phillipa

I actually fill out new scripts with significant doubt tinged with cautious optimism.

Yes you are a freak...! But wasn't that one of Dr Bob's questions to get to post here??? We're all freaks here I think...
I can go one freak-event better than you I think:
I buddied up to a pharmacist & managed to get one of those HUGE advertisement boxes for Ritalin SR. It was about 2 feet long, etc. HUGE..! To me it looked like I needed extra-sized tablets. :)
Then I took it to work. {note#1: never take Ritalin & think you're having a good idea}
I think maybe 20% of the staff knew what the drug was & 1/2 of them thought it was funny. The other 1/2 told the other 80% who decided I was not really what senior management was all about.....
Like I said, never think ANYTHING is a good idea on Ritalin... ;)

i need to get to new mood stabizer quick before i start doing flips, and having to go a mental hospital.
Im on Prozac, Xanax, Zyprexa, Restoril.
Been on them for almost 2 years. They work well, but sometimes you just want to go to the doctor and "is there anything else"
The past 3 nights have been hard for me to sleep....stonger mood stabilizer, or just mention Nembutal.
I was going to on Phenobarb for anxiety, but after hearing how draining it is, its an old drug (1912), and makes you feel drunk all day, nope....ill stay with xanax. But i've been on almost all the anti-anixiety meds, exept Traxene, Doral, and Librium.
Plus you have to know how to describe your symtom to the doctor, and not screw up! and then have to explain everything about what you feel. Sorry my pdoc....... last thing he said to me was .."dont let the door hit you in butt". Sorry i would said something like thanks for not treating me, yet you get 120$ for the session, lazy doctor.
but lets cheer up!
