For the past few weeks my lower back has been really hurting. It hurts are the time. I didn't strain it in any way. What could it be from? Would any meds cause this?

Any symptoms of UTI..press your hands right where your kidneys are..if that's where it really hurts, then a trip to the doc is in order..

Could be any number of things -- but kidney pain is probably the most serious. It's worth going in to the doctor, even without clear UTI symptoms. If you have anything like a good relationship with your doctor, ask about having a catheterized sample taken -- not fun, but much clearer outcome.
I forget what you're taking, but there probably are some meds that could lead to muscle pain in your back, too. And ... um ... since we share one of those dx's, are you doing any abdominal exercises? Those can lead to back pain, too...

I think it has something to do with my last hospital stay and going into cardiac arrest. They cracked a few of my ribs when they did CPR. Must have hurt my back as well. I wish the pain would go away. I feel like I am going to need physio or something.

My doctor a couple of years back told me he
see a lot of patients on psych meds coming up
with kindney stones.I don't want to scare or
alarm you but you should check this out right
away.

I started Cymbalta on Tuesday, and I have since developed lower back pain. I think it is my back and not something else, because it only hurts when I move my back.

I really need to get it checked out. It is in my lower back and on my side. Pressing on it does not make it hurt more. I am tired of this pain!
