Bupropion causing drowsiness

Posted by mav27 on February 3, 2008, at 3:14:03

I've just started taking Bupropion, it's 300mg SR. Thing is instead of making more awake/alert ect like i thought i'm now sleeping about 12 hours a day and any time iam awake im sleepy as all hell. All i want to do is sleep. It's only been 2 weeks but i was wondering if anyone else had the same problem with it and if it goes away?
It's doing a great job of increasing my anxiety as well but i can tolerate it at the moment. I just want some energy and motivation!

The same dosage makes me very tired. I am annoyed because I was hoping it would make me speedy.

It's a paradoxical reaction. One theory says that you have too many or too sensitive dopamine and/or norepinephrine auto-receptors.
