Hi
Does anyone know which hospitals will do deep brain stimulation in Canada. A friend of mine wants to have it done.
Thank you.

Maxime,
I have the email address of Dr Helen Mayberg if your friend is interested in contacting her. She is the person who pioneered the initial trials.
As far as I am aware they are still conducting trials on it.
I have written to her twice to ask her questions about the treatment and both times she got back to me really quickly.
I was suprised as my experience with psychiatrists and many other people in the mental health care system (especially in the UK) has not been very good so far. Very often they seem too busy to talk to me but she was very approachable.
Denise
