Currently taking depakote. Good for anxiety and mania. Regular blood tests required. My aunt takes neurotin for headaches. Does her well. Lyrica is used for generalized anxiety disorder and also as a mood stabilizer. It is more potent then gabapentin (neurotin). Neurotin has limited usefulness in the treatment of anxiety disorders.
GoodLuck : )

Why is Lyrica used for anxiety? I read that its primary use is for neuropathic pain. What are the mechanisms of lyrica to explain its apparent effect on anxiety?
