Effexor withdrawl

Posted by DrDave1993 on October 19, 2007, at 13:26:31

Ive come off effexor xr two or three times in the past three years. Each time is a trial of patience. I get all the symptoms people describe here: zaps, rushes, fatigue. To whomever was asking how long it takes, here's my experience: Every time you lower the dose, count on 7 or 8 days of full on withdrawl. After that, things "normalize." As I've halved doses and halved again, and so on on the way down from 150 mg, this whole process is taking two months. As I originally got on for seasonal depression, I'll be in the next season before I can get off it once! D
Does anyone know howlong withdrawl lasts when you go from whatever dose down to zero? I'm in day seven and pretty darn sick of it. Hopefully tomorrow things will begin to return to normal.
