i have been taking effexor xr for over 5 years. i topped out at 187.5mg and dropped down to 150mg for 5 days. now i'm taking for 75mg. i've read all of this information about terrible withdrawal symptoms, yet i'm not experiencing any of them. i feel a little different but i'm not sure if that is from lowering the dose or because i'm telling myself that i should be feeling withdrawal symptoms.
has anyone experienced "no withdrawal" while trying to come off this drug?
thanks.

I know two former babblers who had absolutely no problem coming off of effexor so you are not alone. And a comment on startups my next door neighbor a teacher had absolutely none. Just felt wonderful and continues to have an abundance of energy. Phillipa

as club fitter said......

I did this and was fine while tapering. I had no problems at all until the last dose. It was the worst withdrawal experience I have ever had coming off 150mg over 2 months. My sister on the other hand was on 225mg a day and was put in hospital to come off over a few days, but guess what??? She was fine!!! Everyone is different.
