Ok, I've moved up to a whole 6mg patch today - maybe it will help. Does anyone know if Emsam effects serotonin at all? I need some!
I like the fact that I have energy and am not hungry on Emsam, but I still feel depressed (miss the ssri/snris). But, my bladder is not bothered at all by the patch.
I'm sure it will take science and the drug companies years to come out with an SSRI or SNRI patch?
Is there anything I can do? Right now I am taking Xanax to try to stay calm and not be a screaming crazy person.
Any suggestions?
I avoided Abilify because it made me swell up. Would a small dose of that help get me some serotonin? Any other drugs BESIDES ssris/snris that I could add that would be ok with the Emsam patch?

Congrats on the bladder. Doesn't EMSAM affect all the neurotransmitters? Or only MAOA and B? Phillipa

Not sure. It seems like Serotonin makes me the happiest. I didn't like Depakote (good stabilizer), but it made me depressed, so I'm not sure about adding a mood stabilizer - even though I need one right now. I am moody and irritable. I am missing something. Maybe some Ablify at night to help with sleep - plus, maybe that would help with some other chemicals?

Thanks, maybe now that I've moved up to a full 6mg. patch I will start to feel it.

If you decide to quit Emsam just don't do it cold turkey----it is hell.
