Hello all,
I took Prozac for several years, switched to Efexoe for a year, then back to Prozac and in between all other SSRIS.
I stopped all SSRIs a year and half ago.
While taking Efexor and from then on I developed daytime teeth grinding.
Nearly everyday most hours of the daylight I would "drum" and grind on my teeth, and even though it is hardly visible,it is so annoying and I'm afraid my teeth would be damaged.
I'm certain that it is related to all those years of SSRi/Effex exposure.
I'm afraid that this is a mild form of TD which will never go.(I'm really upset for those years wasted exposed to too many AD's).
I tried lots of remedies and nothing helped.
Dose any body suffer like me bec of ADs exposure.
Any comment and soloultions would be highly appreciated.Best regards,
Dark Horse.

I had daytime bruxism while on effexor and wellbutrin. I am now on cymbalt a(2 months) and it seems to be slowly subsiding. There isn't anything to wear during the day that doesn't inhibit your speech - never mind drooling!
For the protection of your teeth at least while you sleep, I would recommend getting a nightguard fitted by a dentist (don't bother with the ones available in the drugstore). I can highly recommend a particular type of biteguard called an NTI. This type helps to prevent the muscle spasms that happen during bruxism.

i have this. would be nice if i could find a straight answer.
i have it with electric skin, clumsiness, facial muscle wringing, general akathisia, and in intense bursts. i slow down and have trouble talking normally, especially the more around me that i can see.
it has been long since i have taken offending drugs. i don't take much now, otherwise, either.
This is the end of the thread.
