after 6+ years on effexor xr, my cholesterol has shot up way too high and i'm wondering if anyone has any feedback on switching to cymbalta (or any other SNRI drugs: major depression + panic.)
THANKS!

Hi valleedoll,
Regarding comparisons between the two, all I know is that Cymbalta is supposed to effect both serotonin and norepinephrine at lower doses whereas Effexor primarily hits serotonin at lower doses, requiring a higher dose to affect norepinephrine.
Best of luck!
