This is to understand the evil in details.
If you have used them both, can you compare them in terms of withdrawal? Which was the hardest of them to come off?
BTW, I have come off Zoloft like a walk in the park using Prozac for a week then stopping it. I don't how Paxil or Effexor would be like? I think the horror stories we hear is because of going off the drug cold turkey or refusing to use Prozac. I believe Prozac can be a miracle for those who want to withdraw short acting SSRIs.

I didn't really have much of a problem withdrawing from Paxil. It was uncomfortable but not unbearable. Effexor on the other hand... I seriously thought I was going to die. Uncontrollable sleeping, horrible dreams that were so twisted and scary I didn't want to sleep, I couldn't eat, I couldn't think straight or even type well, I hit every key but the one I wanted and I cried a lot. But, this was going off cold turkey, I never went off Paxil cold although I should have tapered more slowly. I eventually disregarded my horrible pdoc's instructions to stop Effexor cold and start Prozac, and tapered down slowly. However, I might add, part of the reason I had so much trouble with Effexor was because I have BP2, and it's not so good for that. Neither is Prozac, which was awful also, but that's another story. :D

I wasn't on Effexor more than a couple of day..however, I have been on Paxil on more than one occasion..I came off it really slowly, so other than some brain zaps..it was tolerable..but the key word is slowly..
This is the end of the thread.
