I'm coming off of Lyrica as we speak. I started 4 weeks ago at 25mg, then ended up at 600mg which was the dosage for me. It worked for all of 2 weeks. Then it basically stopped. Cold turkey. Everything went downhill thereafter. My pdoc is weaning me slowly because of the weight gain/edema it caused,so I'm down to 300mg now. I'll successfully be off by next week. Good Luck!

Rina,

That is such a shame. How did it make you feel when it was working and have you had that experience before with other drugs?

What do you plan to try next?

Denise

I met with my pdoc today and we are finishing the last dosage of the lyrica today. Were going to concentrate more on the ADD/HD and Bipolar more than anything. My concern was that we were concentrating on the issues that came up as a result of the ADD. Such as: I'm depressed because I can't stay focused or I'm becomimg manic because I can't stay organized or complete a task. The ADD has to be treated aggressively in order for the other underlying issues to remain at bay. Therefore, we've decided to keep the Topamax and the Risperdal for a few weeks. Just to see if the Risperdal will calm down in my system and do it's job. Then because I do handle stimulants well, he'll add back the Focalin XR to the Provigil or take the Provigil out all together. Especially since it's not really doing anything at this moment. Keep your fingers crossed.
