Since my bladder & kidneys seem so sensitive to SSRIs, but I do so well mentally with a little serotonin, I have a question...
Which is better a small daily dose of 5 - 10mg of Prozac or a small dose (37.5) of Effexor XR.
Since stopping the Emsam, I have terrible anxiety and panic attacks and have been having trouble sleeping. Thank goodness Xanax and Klonopin.

> -thxI used the Emsam patch for about 2 weeks. It felt great for the first 5 days and then I went full blown manic. So I stopped it cold turkey. Then, I experienced the most severe anxiety, leading to full blown panic attacks. I was really scared. Its been about 1 week now and I think it is finally out of my system - thank goodness.
I'm sure it could be great for some, but for me, the smallest dose patch 6mg? made me manic.

I took 37.5 Effexor XR for a month and it was great at first, even a little euphoric but ended up after the first week always nervous to talk around people on it. Also, even being on just 37.5mg, when I stopped I thought I was losing my mind, not a fun med to stop.
I myself am considering starting 10mg Prozac this week.
