My pdoc changed all of my meds. I was taking 1mg Klonopin at night and 300mg wellbutrin in the am and 30mg adderall in the am. Now i'm taking 5mg buspar twice daily, 30mg in am and tapering off wellbutrin and adding cymbalta. I am so tired and drugged. My appetite is gone. I feel like i have the flu. I've gone through witdrawls before and this feels like that. I'm not sure if it's the buspar that's making me feel zonked out or if it's adding the cymbalta or coming off of the wellbutrin? I'm currently at 150mg wellbutrin in the am and 30mg cymbalta at night. In two weeks i'll be off of the wellbutrin all together and on 60mg cymbalta. Is this the normal withdrawl from the wellbutrin or is it the buspar or cymbalta? I've been taking wellbutrin for many years so i was nervous about going off of it. I tried effexor before but the night sweats and nausea from it was intolerable. I'm hoping cymbalta works. Is it better to take pm or am? I'm so knocked out.

Cymbalta is usually taken in the am as it's stimulating with the norepenephrine. but then again we're all different. That's a lot of med changes all at once. I was always told in order to know what the cause is one med change at a time. Why so many at once? Love Phillipa

Phillipa,
We've been trying all kind of med combos. The klonopin worked really well for my anxiety and sleep but it was dangerous for me. It worked too good on my anxiety and i started taking it more often during stressful times. Lately, stress has been at an all time high. It's like all that could go wrong with a family has happened to us. I was already under alot of stress when i just went over the edge. The klonopin started making me depressed. One night i just couldn't take the stress anymore and my husband and i were fighting. I thought i lost everything, including the kids. I'm emberassed to say but I overdosed on a combo of meds. My 18yr old daughter found me the next morning on the floor unresponsive. The doctor in the hospital took me off the klonopin. My pdoc replaced it with buspar. I was still depressed so he added cymbalta but had to take me off of wellbutrin in order to add the cymbalta. I have been a zombie ever since. I feel like I have the flu. I have no appetite and i think i'm dehidrated. I can't wear my contact lenses cuz my eyes are just too dry and goopy feeling. It's like allergies. I'm hoping this will pass. I'm thinking the culprit is the buspar and the withdrawl from the klonopin and now wellbutrin. I have switched meds so often that the withdrawl feeling has become the way I feel most of the time. It really sucks but i can only hope that we will get the meds straight.
