pills won't absorb anymore

When i take pills they seem to not absorb in my body. Malabsorption?? Any thoughts?

How did you come to that conclusion? What specific pills are you talking about?

You've not given enough information to even consider an explanation.

I've heard drink 8 ounces of grapefruit juice before taking pills, it helps to absorb.

That is very bad advice.

Grapefruit contains two chemicals which block the cytochrome enzyme 3A4. This has nothing to do with absorption. It can increase or decrease the effect of some meds.

I didnt know the chemical reaction was bad. I just heard it through the 'grapevine', I suppose I should do more research before posting this type of response. Sorry to all who read it. Is there a way I can delete a bad advice post?
