My experience with Requip (ropinirole HCl) to assist with antidepressant augmentation has, well, sucked. Three times I've tried, all with same results. (no, you can't cut this pill up, as it actually comes in a 3D type shape.) To me, it seems like "Wellbutrin Lite", as if you where taking small doses of Wellbutrin. No MAJOR effects except a slight, vague, mild increase in anxiety. I was gulping back extra clonazepam eventually, and so it was really pointless. This was at Requip's lowest dose of .25 mg's, too. Just another experience to chalk it up to.

Hi. Sorry to hear that.
I restarted Ropinirole a couple of weeks ago. There is a discernible benefit, but it's not exactly life-changing. 2mg daily improves motivation somewhat, important for me because I generally have very little of it.
Have you tried Pramipexole? My brother has taken it for some time now and enjoys a reasonable AD response. I couldn't handle the nausea.
He now smokes 60 a day, whereas Ropinirole actually reduces my Nicotine cravings. Strange...
