I recently woke up from a 3 year walking coma from Effexor. I didn't realize something was wrong until I became physicallly ill from it. I was off work and on disability for over 3 months while trying to rid my body of that lethal drug. As I was lowering the dose, it is as if a curtain opened up to my past and I was shocked that I did some things that I did. There are blocks of time I do not remember and I now suffer from head buzzing, dizziness, and consistent, ongoing memory loss. I have changed. For instance, I used to be able to spell and now I have to really work at spelling some really simple words. After 2 months of being completely off of the medication, I have noticed colors are much crisper and brighter, but still continuing to look at things and wonder if it was really me that did some of the things I am discovering I did. I am afraid of what else is going to be revealed as time goes on. By the way, prozac worked great at relieving the withdrawal symptoms and really helped me in getting off of the medication completely. I could not have done it without prozac. By the way, this is the short version.

Wow that's great and horrible to hear. It really sounds like effexor was the wrong drug for you.
