anyone taken Lexapro and Wellbutrin combination?

Posted by cerebus on September 24, 2006, at 16:52:16

My doctor just prescribed me Lexapro and Wellbutrin combination for social anxiety. I was curious to see if anyone else had taken this combination. Any advice would be appreciated.

As a panic disorder person, I can assure you that too much Wellbutrin may make you anxious/fearful-although I personally find 150 mg/daily helpful for keeping me a bit more stimulated. The Lexapro by itself may be very helpful-but then, the Wellbutrin may help if you have sexual side effects (I did) with Lexapro. Best of luck...

I'm on 20mg. lexapro and 150mg wellbutrin twice a day.

However, taking two wellbutrins each day makes me irritable and totally worsens anxiety and phobias

So, I take no more than 150mg per day with the Lexapro. If I anticipate doing anything anxiety provoking, I just don't take the wellbutrin period.
