I'm on 9 mgs of EMSAM now and i get a rash wherever i put the patch on , and the rash lasts for about 3-4 days and itches also. Anybody have any ideas what can prevent or treat these rashes? I always clean very well before applying a patch, and i always clean well after removing it. I have red marks all over my Freakin' body..ugh! Thanks for suggestions.

Is the rash worse in the heat and/or humidity?

Good Question..it has been hotter than hades here for the last 2 weeks..last sunday it was 112 degrees..ugh! But i never expose them to heat/sun, always keep them covered. However you make a good point because the rashes have seemed to get progressively worse during the last 2-3 weeks...hmmm. Thanks for the input.

I use hydrocortisone cream. After I take off a patch and clean the skin, I put on the cream. I don't get a rash though, just red skin; the redness usually lasts several days. Maybe I don't get a rash cause I've always used the cream?
Another poster, SFY, mentioned using topical benedryl: http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/20060717/msgs/668624.html
