Ugh! I feel like I have tried everything over the past few years. I have anxiety, a little OCD & ADD, throw in some depression and finish it off with some irritability - that's me.
I recently tried several rounds of Cymbalta along with Zonegran. I think the Zonegran is making me itch (no rash), and the Cymbalta gave me such terrible acid reflux and made my eye twitch like I was a nut job.
The older I get (I'm 38) the worse the whole mood disorder gets.
SSRIs tend to make me manic & fat. Can't find a mood stabilizer that really agrees with me.
Wellbutrin and Effexor, along with Klonopin sometimes and Trazodone if I need it for sleep seemed to work well. As long as I didn't miss a dose of Effexor.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Will that combo make me manic or fat?
This last month my PMS was so bad I had to subdue myself with Risperdal and Klonopin. Sometimes I feel like I am totally disabled.
Any advice would be great.

First when I was in peri-menopause and then menopause things got much worse anxiety wise. Have you tried lamictal? Love Phillipa

I totally agree with Glydin...it could very well be your hormones. Get a complete physical, including having your Thyroid checked.
Best wishes, Monte

my own experience - i can't agree re: htr. even the patch version made me go from full remission of mdd to the abyss of darkest depair - in exactly 3 days... pills 1-2 days.
YMMV!!!
when i was peri-meno, the downhill slide began, but re: depression, not anxiety.
when i became fully menopausal, abit earlier than the standard age, at only 46 yrs. old, mdd worsened to a point that i'd previously thought impossible. i'm now 54 & have achieved full remission only a vey few times since age 46.
so hope you fair much better than i!
