Moclobemide and weird sensations!

Posted by beaniepea on June 16, 2006, at 12:30:46

I have recently had my dose of moclobemide put up to 600mgrms from 450mgrms. I am now getting a weird sensation when I lay down to go to sleep. It feels like your stomach going over, like going on a rollercoaster but affects the whole body. Also I hear a weird sound in my head like someone is scrunching up tin foil very quietly. I spoke to my counsellor about this and she checked in her little book of potions and said what I am feeling is not listed as a side effect to Moclobemide. I am not convinced that these things are not connected somehow. Has anyone else had these experiences with Moclobemide?
Kind regards Beaniepea :0)

Welcome to Babble!!

First off, these pysch drugs can do things that are not listed in those little books. Just coz its not in there doesnät mean that your sypmtoms arenät valid.

Anyway, I have also tried moc - I got weird senstions when I tried to panic, like just before you were tripping over. I got this too on reboxetine. I put it down to the extra noradrenline.

Perhaps your side effects will go away once youäve got used to the incease in the doseage??

Kind regards

Meri

Hi Meri,
Thank you for taking the time to write. It has been quite frightening but as you said, just because what I am having is not listed as a side effect doesn't mean that this drug is not the cause. I am just going to keep monitering it and if it gets any worse or keeps happening then I will make another visit to the GP but I am hoping that these sensations just go and it is a case of just getting used to the increased dose.
Thanks again, take care, Beaniepea :0)
