Hi All,
I am considering asking my doctor to switch me from Neurontin as a mood stabiliser to Topamax becase of weight gain and cost. Anybody ever try this?? I take Wellbutrin 300mg, Seroquel 800mg, Neurontin 1200mg, and Abilify 30 mg, and this combo works although I have had significant weight gain. Any stories welcome :-)Tammy

Hey Tammy,
I'm a believer in being hesistant to mess with success.. topamax may well help u quite a bit weight wise, but its importnat that u know it has other very prominent side-effects as well.. particularly, cognitive problems... topamax is notorious for 'thinking' problems.. however, this doesnt happen to everyone! it happened to me, but i have a friend or two who love the stuff!
